According to the RV Industry Association’s September 2021 survey of manufacturers, total RV shipments ended the month of September with 55,014 units, an increase of 32.2% compared to the 41,600 units shipped during September 2020. September 2021 was also the best on comparable record surpassing sales from September of 2017 at 43,598.
With over 55,000 RVs shipped in September, a new record was set representing a 1% increase over the previous single month record set in March of this year.
In addition, the 3rd quarter of 2021 continued the record breaking trend with a total of 152,370 RVs shipped surpassing the previous quarterly record of 151,760 set in Q2 of 2021.
Led by conventional travel trailers, Towable RVs ended the month up 33.4% against last September with 50,696 wholesale shipments. Motorhomes finished the month up 19.6% compared to the same month last year with 4,318 units.
